My Online eBook Library

If you happen to have a vast collection of books at home, which are so disorganized that you often dream of having a virtual library, then an online ebook library is the solution for you. With my online books library, I have been able to list and classify all the books in my large home library. This has been helpful on several levels. I am now able to keep tabs on the physical and electronic books that I own. I can  keep track of those that I loan out, as well as add ebooks that I find online.

As the name suggests, an online ebook library, is really a virtual bookshelf which keeps an online record of all your books. There are free online library sites that you can join and enjoy. To add books to my library I simply click the search button to look up the title.



Online libraries get their data from hundreds of libraries worldwide, including the Library of Congress, and Amazon.com, so it is very unlikely that a title will not be found. However, on the off chance that it’s not, I have the option to enter it manually.

To make things even more interesting, I have sorted my books by categories just like at the local library, or bookstore. This way my large book collection is now very organized. When a new book is added to my catalog, it immediately goes to the pre-set categories. What could be easier?

There are other benefits to my online books library:

• It’s an easy way to keep check on all the books that I’ve read. I no longer have to write down that information, I simply update it online.
• It puts me in contact with other book lovers, and I am able to connect with those who are interested in books I like. This is also great because with their help, I can easily locate books that I would like to read. Sometimes they even have the titles in their own online library.
• I can import e-books directly into my library, and then read them online. Best of all, I don’t have to pay to download the books that I want to read. It is definitely a great way of finding books I didn’t know about. Sometimes it’s difficult to decide which book to read, because there are so many to choose from.
• It’s an easy way to find reviews about the books I have on my wish to read list.

Some online sites allow you to add tags to titles, rate your books, and post a review. That can make for interesting discussion, and lead you to readers with similar interests. My online books library is convenient, informative, fun and very enjoyable.
